I completely agree with you! In fact, I just did some sheer sparkle layering on my present manicure too, but with an old OPI. There are plenty of great, subtle layering polishes out there, I see no particular reason to spend the big bucks on the CND Effects.
I loved the effect of this! I have been following your blog!kisseshttp://driesmaltes.blogspot.com/
I've got a Melmer drawerful of top coats just with shimmery small bits, not even glitters. The only CND I'd be tempted to get would be the teal shimmer combo.
Ooooh, I do love this, Piff! I've been thinking a lot about different layering effects lately, and this one is a winner.
féline - exactly right. Not sure this was their best idea.Dri - Thank you!Paillette - anything unique that you like is worth getting, IMO. But on the whole, it wasn't anything novel at all.extraH - Thanks dear :)
I love that Diamonds polish for frankening. It has a glass fleck quality to it.
This is nice! I would totally wear this for French manis.
I haven't bought any of the CND layering polishes for that very reason. Why pay that price when I have tons of cheaper polishes. There cremes do look nice though. I haven't caved yet.
Narc - Did not occur to me! BraziliantAsami - (love ur blog!) good ideaLucy - We're on the same page.
Very pretty and love the combo. Yes there are so many shimmery effects. I do have several of the cnd's...but I didn't pay a whole lot for them :) I do love variety!
I have Diamonds too and still didn´t feel any need to buy CNDs...
Nice post and spacially Nice & Classy Nail Art!
