China Glaze Endurance with Barry M Nail Effects (crackle!!)

As promised a few days ago, some photos of China Glaze Endurance with a crackle polish over it.

China Glaze Endurance with Barry M Nail Effects

This photo was taken on the last day of wear: we're looking at ten days of wear for the ChG Endurance and four days with the Barry M crackle polish layered over it. As you can see, the crackle has a tendency to fade towards the tips... but I kind of liked the look of this towards the end. It just looked really interesting.

  1. This reminds me of magma haha... I love that color with the effect over it. The fading looks really cool too, I haven't seen that before! I can't wait until my crackle polish gets to me. <3

  7. May I ask what topcoat you used? I have found Barry M's Crackle chipped pretty quickly. Also I didn't try Seche Vite over it as SV doesn't get on with other crackles I have tried... Also, I would guess from what you said that you already had a topcoat on over the base colour which had been a few days dry before you put on the crackle. What topcoat was that? Hope you don't object to all my questions - I'm still working out how best to use the Barry M crackle...

  8. I agree that it looks kinda cool fading towards the tips like that. That was my first thought and I think Tess is right it totally looks like magma! :)

  10. @Tess: I thought that about magma too!

    @ThRiSzHa: if you're talking about the crackle polish... yeah, totally worth it. :D

    @Sia: I didn't like it at first because I was gooping it on too thickly. But then I figured out that the thinner the coat, the better the effect. Now I love it!

    @nailcrazy: thanks!

    @jaljen: haha :)

    @jennifer: I love the combination as well.

    @andy: I used Diamont for both topcoat on the Endurance mani and on the crackle mani after that. Definitely go easy on the crackle polish: it really needs to be thin coats. Even slightly overlapping coats on mine didn't crackle properly. I've had great luck with Diamont as a topcoat. I do get some shrinkage but in combination with Gelous, I've been getting a week's wear pretty easily.

    @JQ: I totally can't take any credit for the fading. It was me being too lazy to change polish!! :)

    @Lucy: I wonder how different it'll be from the Barry M polish...
