I was disappointed with how Let Them Eat Rice Cake looked on me and inspired by this post on Nail Juice which indicated that there were 3 nudes in the Japan collection: One red toned (Miso Happy With This Color - btw imo there's not-PC playful homage and there's straight up offensive and this name is the latter), one blue toned (Let Them Eat Rice Cake) and one yellow toned (Have a Tempura Tan-Trum).
So I picked up Have a Tempura Tan-Trum immediately (eBay) and yes it does look better on me!
(4 coats)
But it also needed FOUR coats. For a nude! (It dried a little bit better than Let Them Eat Rice Cake did, however.) But really, these polishes are not worth it. Almost everybody makes nude cremes. And many only need 2 coats.

I have the same beef with Samoan Sand. Streak-o-rama! The whole point of putting on a color like that is to wear something simple, classic, and finished-looking and be done with it. I don't want to have to sit for an hour to get a decent looking nude.
I like this a lot !
Oooh I like that one!!!
Oooo I like this one, I think I shall be ordering this one :)

Lovely colour :) But you're right, four coats are just crazy!
Anyway, it looks so good on you that I think it was worth it :)
totally adore this colour!
Umm sooo on me this looks like I puked on my nails and just left it there (I think of Ke$sha) and on you it looks like an elegant lady on a yacht for an afternoon jaunt. She is wearing white linen pants, has a white blazer drapped over her shoulders and a big floppy hat and sunglasses. (Hell, I'm envisioning my step-grandmother. Even when I was 4 years old I knew it was a crazy skill to constantly rock white pants.)
In other words, I iz jealous.
But yeah, formula sucksssss. Even though I love the colours, I'm starting to feel negative feelings towards my Japanese OPIs. Since I recently swatched them, I'm now aware of the PITA that is the formula. They may be headed for the swap pile soon. Have you tried Orly Pure Porcelain? Would look *divine* on you.
That looks so great on you!
Shield - Precisely!
Toyomi - I like the look too, but since I'm trying to cut the stash down, I've become a formula nazi, so I think I'll be purging this one once I get to the OPI drawer.
Sandra - I do too.
Hair - Good luck!
Roberta - Obrigado pela visita!
Elsa - Thanks :)
Suz - I like the color too.
k2k - Fierce grandmama! <3 Yup, as I said above. I'm trying to get my stash under control and so 4 coats for a regular nude is just unacceptable, so away it goes. I have not tried or even heard of this color. What is it?
Claire - Thanks !!
What a nice nude colour! :D I bet this looks great with some glitter over it.
I am so glad someone else thinks Miso Happy With This Color is offensive. I keep saying it and having people look at me as if I'm some over-sensitive idiot. I really don't understand how that name got brought up and passed through without *someone* saying "Um hey guys, this makes us sound like assholes no?"
Man, I just got this and it looks ridiculously bad on me. lol.
Space - I just might....
Left - It totally is.
Cilucia - OH NO! I imagine it is a tough color to pull off. Can I see a swatch anyway?
This looks really good on you, but I agree, 4 coats for a nude is pushing it unless the colour is totally unique.
- Mary
This looks fantastic on you. Perfect nude for you.
