Oh so swatchable - $OPI 212-Sephora

This is a polish that I swatch every single darn time I'm in Sephora! I've never quite broken down enough to buy it, but I had the opportunity to swap for it, so I went for it!

Should have bought this a long time ago....

Sephora by OPI 212-Sephora

A lovely deep complex colour. The base seems to be a blackened olive, and mixed in are varying amounts of orange flake, holo mini-glitter, and other goodies. It's quite hard to describe, and frankly, sounds like a hot mess. But on, I think it's a little mysterious....it's not quite obvious that you're wearing a crazy glitter polish. It's one where people ask "What IS that on your nails?" and grab your hand to take a closer look.

Love it.

What polish have you picked up recently that you should have bought much earlier?

I bought a Sally Hansen Complete Manicure polish that I thought would be close enough to this one to kill my lemming, but... it's no use. I've got to have the real thing. Especially since I no longer reside in the 212. It'd be like a little reminder of home.

This is my only $OPI and probably for good reason; it's one of the prettiest polishes I own! I don't know what NYC looks like at night, but I definitely can see it looking similar to this. :)

This color is gorgeous! I may need to pick up a bottle myself.

I FINALLY bought OPI Lincoln Park After Dark after wanting it FOREVER but never having the money when I saw it. My new true love, and I can't believe it took me so long.

I always go back and forth on this one. Maybe I should just break down and get it so I can enjoy it!

This is amazing. Thanks for turning me on to it. I will have to take a look and see if our tiny Sephora has this one. As for a polish I picked up I have wanted for a long time - probably is one of the last ones to complete my OMG collection - only to find there was 1 more that seems not to be on any of the blogs I built my list from. So now I still have one to go and won't pay $30 and up for it - sooooo I probably won't end up getting it. Just ready to do a swatch search and ? why it was not on say Scraggie's blog when she did all the shades.

Glad you were able to get this color!! I did the same thing with this polish, yes/no/maybe later but finally caved and I'm glad I did. A pleasant surprise! Looks great on your nails.

I think this was my first $OPI & I love it. I wore it down to NYC last Aug. and when I stopped into one of the Sephoras there, one of the sales girls complimented me on it. Because 212 wasn't online or in stores for a while, she was surprised when I told her it was a $OPI and even more surprised when I managed to find the last bottle of it in their store & gave it to her, in case she wanted to buy it for herself. I got a free OPI nail file just for being nice too.

Wow... I've never seen this before. It looks like galaxy nails to me. I can't wait for the real Sephora to open up here next month (we have Sephora in JCPenney's, but they didn't have most of the polishes I wanted... the Kat Von D ones, NARS Vestale and others I can't think of right now).

@Therese D - Thanks!

@Meg S - I have never thought of it that way - it makes it seem so pretty. Thank you. :)

@Grace - I think I know which SH CSM you mean, and yeah it doesnt come close to this! You definitely need this as a reminder of home. :)

@adventures of a mad scientist - Another person who thought it looked like the sky! I can see what you mean...NYC at night still has so much going on and so much sparkle!

@Violet - Awww I love your story about LPAD. I'm so glad that you finally got it and it lived up to your expectations!

@Melissa - It is definitely unique, so I think it's worth it!

@Lindsey R - You and me both, sister. I could never decide, and I'm glad I took the plunge now!

@Fashion is a party - Thank you!

@beachgal - Definitely check this one out in store if you can! I think it's also available online still, but you really need to see it in person to decide if you love or hate it. That is so strange about that OMG polish...how odd. Who knows, maybe one day you will stumble upon it!

@Sasha - So you had the same problem with the same polish! How funny! I'm also glad I caved. :)

@auroragyps - Haha that's a great story! You basically walked into a Sephora and were the SA to one of their SAs. I love that they were so sweet and gave you a file too :)

@Leisel - I can't wait for my Sephora to get a Nail Bar like I saw on some blogs! We don't have much NP at ours even though its a full size location.
