If you could attend any concert, what would it be?

Still on my list of bands to see...Aerosmith.

(I'd also love to see Disturbed!)

What do you want to know?

  2. I want to go to a small Tegan and Sara concert. The one I went to last month was too big and impersonal. I also want to go to Lilith Fair this summer.

  3. I saw Aerosmith way back a few times. They really put on a great and high energy show. I remember going to Lilith Fair the first year, 1997, and a few after that. I would love to see David Bowie again. *sigh* Love him. My ideal concerts are of folks that are dead. Pity.

  5. Beirut. I hope Zach Condon never stops making music.

  6. Metric, Lady Gaga (not really a band, I know), the Killers, Rilo Kiley and/or just Jenny Lewis, M.I.A...

The list goes on. Flinty, I saw Tegan & Sara in a small venue in my college town and they weren't great - they kept forgetting the lyrics and messing up. I forgive them though - still love them.

I saw Bright Eyes a few years back and they were great except Conor got trashed and ended up stumbling around and nearly falling off the stage! lol

  7. @daydream: LOL, IMO a "good" Tegan and Sara show is one where they interact with the audience. They're usually pretty funny when they mess up (which they do fairly frequently). The show I saw was more professional: they got the songs right but they rushed through the set and I might as well just have listened to their CD at home then. The point of seeing people live (for me) is seeing them as humans in front of me, mistakes and all. When I saw The Producers on Broadway with Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane, the best part of the show was when Nathan Lane made Matthew Broderick laugh and then all the extras cracked up too. HUGE mistake but memorable.

  9. Not much for seeing bands in concerr - I have a fear of crowds (go figure - I'm from NYC) and I don't like the loud noise!! (go figure - I'm from NYC) I like watching Beyonce in concert on T.V or Video

  10. LOL Okay this was totally posted here by accident. I just joined formspring and this was SUPPOSED to go to my personal blog.

Sorry for cluttering this blog with my nonsense! (hahaha... man...I feel lame now.) :P

    @Apaige2u: thanks!

  13. Yeah I was just integrating a bunch of stuff... I just got back on FB and I signed up for twitter so I could follow a couple of academics/activists etc. in my field and in the process ... well, this happened.

Really terrible programming on both blogger and formspring's part though. I can't find a way to change my "default" Blogger blog, and you can't tell formspring which blog you want to publish your answers to. Silly!

Oh well. I have fixed it.. so no more of this. :P I was surprised to see so many people answering the question though. hahah

  14. Third Eye Blind

and the biggest irony of all the ironies (this month at least) is that Third Eye Blind is playing at my undergrad this week - but I can't go because I have too much work to do on my grad thesis. At my undergrad!! ahh!! The irony. The sadness.

I'd love to see Barenaked Ladies, James Taylor, Elton John, etc.

  17. Despite being a total metal girl, I would love to see Lady Gaga. She's freakin brilliant. That said, I will be seeing Iron Maiden again because my hubby MUST see them live. I also see Moonspell and Slayer every time they tour. Also on my list:
Kalmah, Firewind, Chthonic and Black Tide.
