Excuse the close-up...my fingers are really gross and dry, it being winter and all. But the polish is gorgeous!
On the nail, Smitten with Mittens looks like red glitter in a deep red jelly polish. If you've seen the bottle, you know that the glitter in SwM is actually gold - it's simply hidden by red jelly! I thought the red/gold combo was gorgeous and I wanted to bring it out a little more. I know other ladies have accomplished this by swiping their polish with acetone after it's dry so the top jelly layer is stripped off and you see the colour of the glitter. It works, but I've never liked this method. So instead I added a layer of Essie Golden Nuggets! (The black label one. The newer blue label version has chunkier glitter.) The effect is supremely Christmas-y!
What mani are you rocking for the holidays?

I love the glitter on this! I always tend to shy away from glitter because of how much effort seems to go into removing it, but I've been inspired to give it a try lately.
I'm wearing Don't Mess With OPI. It's festive, but not predictable.
Pretty! Just the right amount of festivity without going overboard. :)
I agree, that is a great Christmas mani!
As for me, I am wearing something similar, vampy Zoya Casey under 1 coat of OPI Bring on the Bling glitter, which is much denser.
amazing nail polish! ideal for x-mas :) xx

This looks so gorgeous!! :D
Smitten with mittens was one of my first OPI's and I love it!!! Looks great with the gold!
Wish I had this. I love the combination. I have on a polish from OPI whose name escapes me, damn. It's a reddish pink with pink glass flecks. Pretty but it wasn't red enough for me. I have a Carolyn of New York polish called Christmas in New York. I layered that & it looks like a red jelly with the pink glass flecks. Just gorgeous. I just want to nibble my nails like candy. Have a very Merry Christmas sweetie. Your nails look gorgeous. I have to get that Essie polish.
I traded smitten with mittens away! I can get another, but it looks lovely on you!
This looks absolutely gorgeous!!
This is gorgeous, can't wait to try it!
