We had a snowstorm last night (does not happen often around here...) and I feel like my polish choice reflects the weather - icy, cool, crisp and out-of-the-ordinary! After wearing darks for the last couple weeks it feels somehow cleansing to put this polish on...like jumping into a bed with freshly washed sheets!
Application was good - but then again I'm a big Essie fan. The first coat went on streaky, but the second one cleaned it up no problem. I did notice that as the first coat dried a bit, it seemed to even out considerably. I feel like I had good control of this polish - the brush is the perfect 3-strokes-to-cover the nail size for me. I know many complain about Essie's little brushes, but I seem to get along with them. Once again this is no clean-up because it was about 1am when I did this, but who are we kidding - I hate clean-up and almost never do it anyways.
There is something odd yet wonderful about this colour. It's like the platypus of the nail polish world! It's made up of seemingly random parts thrown together for some sick little experiment, but the end result is kind of adorable in a bizarre way. It looks quite grey indoors, shows more of a lavender cast outdoors, and I think it's just really pretty! Body Language isn't your run-of-the-mill light colour either - there is something decidedly odd about it. Maybe this is RBL Grunge's little sister - a work-appropriate neutral with a little daring edge to it.
All I know is that this little platypus freak has definitely burrowed its way into my heart and into my permanent collection. :)

P.S. Let me know what you think! Too weird? Would you wear this colour? Does it give me alien hands?

All Lacquered Up did a swatch of Body Language next to MAC Light Affair and determined that they were almost dupes, so being a fan of the shade I went looking for one or the other a couple of weeks ago and came home with Light Affair. Assuming they are indeed the same shade, I agree that it's a conservative neutral with just a bit of edge to it - perfect for the office!
That is a really pretty color, I really like it!
I have that one, and the rest of the collection it came with. I really like them. They are not boring pastels, they have a little something extra with them. It looks very nice on you!
@Laura - Yes I heard that it was a Light Affair dupe! I don't have the Mac to compare but from online swatches they are indeed v. dupey. Glad to hear you love this shade too!
@Dee - Ooo lucky girl! I don't have any others from that collection (Spring 08?) but have to admit, I think I'd love Great Expectations and Secret Affair! I do have a thing for neutrals with a lil mystery going on!

I think it looks fab! I'd wear it.
I love the way you described this polish, it makes me love it too.
@SalvagedExpression - thank you! :) I really do think of a platypus when I look at it! haha!
No alien hands, I love to wear shades like that. The only thing is that I tend to get bored easily with such colors, and it never stays on for 3 days, that's for sure. But I really love these netural, unusual shades.
Love it :D so cute. Reminds me of C2000 Hot Looks in Dynasty :)

so pretty! very feminine. :)
Essie formula has always been the best for me, especially with being able to last the longest without chipping.
I want this color!
@laquermanic, nymphette beauty, mKat: thanks ladies! I'm glad you like it!
@Arrianne: Essie in combination with Seche Vite always wears like iron on me too! I love it!
I love Essie, as well. I'm really excited to pick up the new spring collection. Maybe I'll throw this in the cart as well. As long as I'm already paying for shipping.... no more dangerous words have ever been uttered.
@Grace - hahaha oh those are indeed dangerous words - that is how many an RBL order is placed by me. "well if i have to pay shipping i might as well...." but I have to say the Essie spring collection looks lovely and this one is definitely worth it. Like mKat said, its just pretty and feminine and I think its pretty cool too :) Still wearing it and it still looks perfect. Zero tip-wear, zero chipping! aka im enabling you ;)
