My love of minty green continues. My love of No Miss pretty much died before it began.
No Miss Gainsville Green
I love the delicate, milky, jelliness of this very light mint green. Unfortunately, this was hell to apply: streaky and sheer until the fifth coat... and gloopy to boot! Not fun at all. But I love the color so much, I've decided to keep it for a bit (usually, adding thinner and Wet N Wild clear works wonders on difficult polishes). I bought a whole bunch of No Miss online and have promptly regretted that decision. (Stay away from the glitters: they are very sparse.) I have other No Miss polishes but after the exceptionally difficult application of this one (and the disappointment of seeing the glitters in person), I don't have much of a desire to try any of them anymore. Still! This one is super pretty, if you have the patience for it.
This whole experience was just one big mani fail. I wanted Doll House so badly but it really doesn't look that great on me... especially over Gainsville Green. It's large warm pink hex glitters in a clear base with some warm pink microglitter. I love the way this looks in the bottle though.
Right after I put on this mani, I realized that I had a meeting with two of my RAs. Way to look professional, huh? I looked like my nails had caught some sparkly weird pox of a disease.

So I haven't jumped on the mint green bandwagon yet but I think this colour is maybe my favourite look so far (from pictures at least!! You're right there is something really delicate and pretty about the colour and finish - it looks fab on you - no lobster hands in sight!
I had Doll House at one point too...same thing - loved it in the bottle but on me it was just kinda pox-like
The mint green polish is very nice, not loving it with China Glaze Dolls House though. Looks very pretty in the bottle :)
I love the mint color and the glitter, just not together.
Ah LOL...
I have to say Flinty... This is one of those moments where I'm convinced I should stay off the glitter bandwagon. (I'm also not a fan of mint green, given my skin tone, but I think you pull it off well.)
Love the glitter! I bet it would be fabulous over a black or fuschia creme...
... Wow, that killed my Doll House lemming. But the green is magnificent!
No Miss is hit-or-miss. I've got a lot of it. Arcadia Aqua applies perfectly and is a divine light blue, for one of their better examples. The frosts/shimmers tend to apply better than the cremes.
I got Dollhouse because I saw an NOTD on MUA with it being used over black... and then mattified. And it looked glorious.
kittytokaren: yeah, mint green doesn't do lobster on me, thankfully. :)
gildedangel, kelly: yeah, it's a bit of a trainwreck with Doll House!
mKat: LOL, honestly, glitter is usually not this ugly. I like weird combinations because sometimes you hit on something REALLY awesome... and then sometimes you get the pink pox that ate Manhattan.
rock n nails: Probably! I should try that. :)
Irides: Doll House, sad disappointment...
mohmlet: Yeah, I'm just a little turned off the brand now... :(
Min: I saw those too. They were beautiful!
