I'm hoping to hang out with my BFF today, as well as get work, laundry, cleaning, taxes, mail, etc. done so this is gonna be quick!
And it's luscious.....
L: Sunlight, R: Shade
Teal looks like a lake at night under a quiet, clear, starry sky - just the moment before you jump in for skinny dipping. There is something really special about this colour - yeah, it's kind of a vampy and looks pretty dark, but most people around pull the red-toned vamp look, whereas the teal hue is a bit of a subversive surprise. And it looks lovely on my Homer-Simpson-yellow skin! (Plus I have a scarf that matches it...and a wall in my apartment...and eyeliner...and...well lots of things.) For me it's an instant classic - one of my favourite colours ever.
Application is the reason I splurge on these - 1.5 coats. (i.e. Covers almost everything in 1 coat - a couple nails *cough* thumbs *cough* needed a second.) Easy to control, highly pigmented, and shiny. And I have no doubt that like my other RBLs, it will last longer than my attention span. *swoon*
You guys probably already know my insane love for RBLs. D:) posted recently about her more negative experiences and it just reminds me how crazy it is what different body chemistry does to polish! I guess I'm just lucky that it works for me? That's why I love being a part of this blog though - you get different perspectives from different ladies with different body chemistry, nail length, skin tone and taste!
What do you guys think of RBL: love/hate/indifferent/too much $$/worth it/lame?
Also, just wanted to do a quick shout-out to our followers - we just hit 400 and I think that's amazing!! Thanks to everyone who keeps reading/following our blog - you may see it as no big deal, but to us it's huge!! And as always, I love reading your comments. I hope you're all having a great weekend!

first , congrats on getting 400 subs!!!
as for rbl, i dont own any...yet. i was tempted when she had that 50% sale in december (i would have only bought scrangie anyways- still kicking myself for that). i may by mismas and a blue creme.
congratz on 400 subbies!!!!
Congrats on 400! And you said exactly why I read this one, for the different perspectives.
Don't own any RBL and that sale hit at a bad time for me, I hope there will be another one sometime this year, I am getting ready for it. The "clearance" sale had one color I actually liked, so it wasn't worth it. If ever I am in NYC again, I'm going to the Lounge!
I love looking at the pics, but as of yet, I haven't seen one that makes me want to cough up *that* much money for one.
Very pretty!
I love my bottle of Mismas, but if CG Grape Pop had come out first, I would have purchased it instead. The high cost just doesn't justify it to me.
It costs an insane $40 to post to Australia so, really, it's only when they are on sale for half price that I buy enough to justify the postage.
But I really do love the formula. It's glorious.
Thanks ladies!!
@augusta - mismas is awesome - 1 coater! and dead calm is the perfect blue creme in my opinion.
@Lizard - There is another RBL 50% off sale happening in November. (Seems so far away..) I didn't get the clearance set either....
@Heidi - They are definitely pricey - even at half off with shipping it comes to quite a bit. I was in a splurging mood when I got my first ones. My collection isn't huge at all, but the reason I keep buying them is the wear. Maybe if theres a colour that speaks to you and is really unique you can try it! :)
@gilded - thanks friend!
@Laura - I love Mismas too - Grape Pop is super similar though. I've already decided that when this bottle is done I'll buy Grape Pop as a replacement.
@JacieO - Ugh their intl shipping is terrible. Ji said she's working on it but oi...you gotta be kidding! Which ones did you get at the 50% off sale??

I'd gladly pay $18 again for Teal. It is AMAZING. Greens look fantastic with your skin tone.
@daydream222 - Thanks!! I'd consider this more of a blue..but thats because I'm afraid of greens! Haha I'm lame... I paid $9 for Teal, but you know what, I'd pay $18. Application + color = total win. I'm glad someone agrees with me!!
int'l shipping sucks, so I don't own any RBL (yet) - might splurge the next time I'm in NYC though, really like teal ;o)
Holy shit! I think I would have died already worrying about when that polish was gonna come in. It's almost worth waiting that long...almost.
