TONS. As one of my go-to polishes, China Glaze Awaken has never let me down. Its a one-coat-wonder, it shines like crazy, it's edgy enough to catch attention but I am also comfortable wearing it professionally (although I understand that my limits are pretty far beyond most) and it wears incredibly on me. I understand the concern that some have that it is a little too frosty for them, but I think the deep grey color saves it from being dated. As a matter of fact, this is even one of the few polishes that I have considered purchasing a backup for, and that's a stretch for me.
Are any of you Awaken fans like me? I have yet to purchase China Glaze Black Diamond, and I think it might be a darker version... does anyone know?

ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I wouldn't put them in the same category, the finishes are completely different ... I think you should get it and find out for yourself ;P Black Diamond is a pretty polish and I've found it useful to have a softer option than flat creme black - it's a pretty, sparkly soft black with shimmer that gives it depth, IMO - but I'd say it's clearly black and not charcoal or grey, or dark silver, or however else Awaken can be described. I hope this is helpful, although it's probably not :D
Awaken is in my top 20. I class it as a 'lucky polish'. It's been good to me :-)

ReplyDelete@Jamie K - It looks as if it is, but I am not positive. In some of the swatches that I have seen, Jitterbug looks like it might be a little warmer than this one; Awaken tends to be a little cool. I could be completely wrong!
