Franken - Love and Rockets

The franken-bug bit me HARD the other day, and six bottles of polish and fifty million pieces of glitter stuck to my face later, I emerged!

Franken - Love and Rockets

This little sparkler is a highly pigmented red jelly with red, pink and purple microglitter and a smattering of red and purple square glitter. Why did I not know about square glitter before? It is damn near magical! It is huge and flashy yet somehow manages to stay suspended in the polish, which is nothing less than fabulous. The only downfall of this bugger was the surface - holy sandpaper. I could have grated cheese on my nails!

Have any of you played with square glitter in your frankens before?

Happy day, all!

That's a great franken! Love the name. :)
I ordered a bunch of exagonal glitter but still have to try frankening with it. ^^

What a gorgeous franken!

Ok, this is so, so pretty! For the texture, try adding a thick topcoat like Seche Vite or Sally Hansen Insta Dry. It will smooth them out, make them glossy as heck, and enhance the glitter's glitteriness without having cheese-grater nails!

@Flavia - Thank you, lovely! Ooooh, hex glitter... I've been thinking of ordering some of that. Where did you order it from, if you don't mind my asking?

@Spaceinvaders - Thanks!

@Laynie - You are completely right - I actually tried that a few days later, and tah-dah! Perfecto! Great idea!

Beautiful franken. I've never frakened a polish yet. I used to dump polishes together when I was halfway finished them. That was many years ago when I didn't know any better. At least you don't have to drag out a cheese grater when you want some cheese on your pasta!
