The Dr. Pepper Treatment

I can't take the credit for this one, but I sure wish I could. Please allow me to present to you, The Dr. Pepper Treatment:

China Glaze Ruby Red Pumps over Icing Blackout

No, it's not a super new process in which you dip your fingers into syrupy cola and they come out white and strong and long and impressive. Sorry. What it IS, however, is a lovely layering of China Glaze Ruby Red Pumps over a dark polish (in this case, Icing Blackout) where the result is a deep-vampy-red-black-jelly-glittery-glossy-fabulous-awesomeness. Here is a better look:

Yum. Yum. Yum. Like I said, I can't take credit for this one - some incredible manicurists at a salon in Skippack, Pennsylvania introduced this to me a year ago. It truly is fabulous for both your fingers and toes - I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Happy day, all!

That is really pretty! I'm correct in assuming that it's one coat of RP? I would think two would hide any trace of the black.

This is absolutely stunning. I have both so I will be trying this ASAP! Thanks so much for sharing. It now combines my two favorites Dr. Pepper (diet LOL) and lacquer. I love the results.

@KrystalBall - You are correct - one coat. I have never tried it with 2, but maybe I should!

@Steffie - thanks, girl!

@Megan - agreed. You should give it a shot!

@Sandi - I completely agree. I get so disappointed with glitter/jelly polishes after I see something like this finish!

@April - Sounds yummy!

@Darlene - Definitely!

@Let Them - It was a good idea, I'm so glad that those genius manicurists showed it to me!

@Short Wide Nails - I absolutely agree. I am obsessed with layering lately and I am willing to slap anything on anything else. You never know what you'll find!

@JQ - Woohooo!

@Freshie - Thanks so much!

@Gina - Thank you! Please tell me what you think about it after you give it a whirl!

@Ice Queen - I'm sure you'll love it!

Looks delicious! I'm drinking a Diet Dr Pepper Cherry right now. Wonder what you'd use for a manicure to make it a bit redder. I'll have to try that one.
