Ombre Pedi for Summer!

I did an ombre pedicure for the first time, and I loved it so much/was so proud I actually found colours that seemed to work, that I had to share it with you...

...but of course I'm not going to show it to you on my feet!

Thumb to pinky (aka big toe to little toe):
OPI No Spain No Gain
OPI Dim Sum Plum
Essie Splash of Grenadine
OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender
OPI Panda-monium Pink

So loving this look on my tootsies! I wish I had enough greys with the same undertones to do a grey ombre on my tips...

Have you ever tried an ombre manicure or pedicure? What colours or colour family did you use?

I love the ombre look, I just wish I had enough polishes of the same finish in one color family to do the same. It's beautiful!

Lovely! I shall give this a try one day! Now which color to do this in...

I also wanted to try out something like this. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find 5 colors of the same shade that would really blend well together.

This looks really interesting. :)

I've been wanting to try one going from Essie Body Language to Chinchilly, or maybe to YDKJ, but all of my "middle colors" are too light. It's like I'm missing that perfect second to last polish.

Those colours go great together, love this!

So pretty ! I've been wanting to try one too for so long now. I need to go through my stash to find matching colors. This is an awesome mani for summer.

Ombre is a lovely mani-type. Never seem to manage to choose the right shades though...

I really wish I could master the ombre because I love the look! I just don't have enough polish in my collection to pull it off. I tried using a dark purple and mixing in white for each consecutive finger, but that didn't work out so well (and was a pain).

Ahh, I've been DYING to try an ombre!! I keep "collecting" colors to eventually do one, but I never manage to get them all!

This looks great!! I feel the need to go buy all of them now! :-)

I have never tried this kind of manicure, but I really like it on others :) I love the fact that you chose pink/purple polishes!

@Jen - This is the only colour family I have that I have enough with the same tones to do! I would love more...glad you like it!

@Pauline - I'd love to see your results if you try it!

@rins - I know that people have mixed a couple of the colours together to get a colour in between the two if they were missing one...haven't tried it myself though!

@Grace - mmmmm...taupey ombre.....

@AmyGrace - Glad you like it!

@Honey_lili - I haven't rocked it as a mani yet, but everyone on here has been so kind, I'm actually considering it!

@Trisha - hehe yay! Glad you like it!

@ilexica - Oo turquoise sounds lovely!! I don't think I have enough turq polishes though. Must...scrounge...

@Deborah - It was super cute on toes if you're hesitant to try on tips!

@Theallamenta - I *love* taupe. Maybe I have enough..hmm...checking...

@jaljen - I think it's all about undertone - which is a tricky bish.

@Varnish Vixen - I've heard of people mixing not with white, but with the other colours int heir ombre - like if you're missing one in between, mix a few drops of each on paper and brush on? Never tried it though..

@tata-nadaver - Thank you!

@Toyomi - I agree- must do more of them!

@Courtney - Hehehe - I do highly recommend each and every one of these colours btw! All really nice formulas....

@Lesley - Thank you, I thought so too!

@Nails and Thangs - Your ombre is fabulous looking!! Love it - and your application is awesome!

@Guy Polish - Ahh..I knew someone would ask! I'm very sensitive about my feet. I think they are ugly - I have a really long second toe, tailor's bunions, and a really really large embarrassing scar going up the side of my foot from when I had a tumour removed. :( So I don't like to share them...

@Elsa P - Thank you! Give it a whirl - on toes it seems less in-your-face to me!

@mummy-daydream - I'd love to see your results!

@Lauren - I'm so glad you like it! I'm definitely not original - I've seen this all over the blogosphere and on celebrities like Lauren Conrad for years!

@Alison - Grey would be soooo lovely...especially in fall with a nice soft cashmere sweater...oo....I cant wait for fall!

So very pretty! I'm just to lazy to search through all my polishes to do this type of manicure. Hope you find enough grey polishes to do an ombre manicure. Would look devine.
