Unlike RC though, there's only one size of glitter - hexes the same size as the large hexes in RC. And there are only 4 muted shades of glitter (salmon, teal, silver and gold).
It sounds like a very simple glitterbomb, but I have to admit I'm kind of in love with it. It's RC's sophisticated older sister. I'm not one for wearing metallic glitter on its own (c.f. my laments here) but this is gorgeous for layering!
I originally tried it over Live and Let Die, a very dark vampy, so for my second try I layered it over Savvy Irish Coffee, a new budget offering by Australian evil time and money black hole of beauty everything chain store Priceline. This is a mushroom taupe kind of colour - light brown creme with a hint of purple in there. Unlike my usual glitter gradients, this time I went heavy at the cuticle, fading towards the free edge.
And here it is mattified with Rimmel Mattifying Topcoat - love! Somehow matte topcoat over glitter always gets my vote.

That is a perfect combination! Can't wait to get my hands on LD!
I LOVE IT! Colour combo and everything....amazing
This looks so pretty and perfect.
Wow! I absolutely love this combination, and doing the glitter gradient "backwards" is so interesting and pretty! I will have to try that!
Wow, so pretty! I love it! Must be a little bit tricky to apply though... And I really have no talent with nail art... :(
That looks awesome, especially with the matte topcoat!
Love this!
@The Manicurette - TLD works with so many things, I love it! :)
@NailNarcotics - Thanks! :)
@Essie Rae - Thank you :)
@Kelly - I particularly like how it means the free edge isn't as chunky!
@Jennifer - It's not too bad, you just need to get a single glitter on your brush and dab it right where you need it. Give it a try, I think you'll surprise yourself!
@Shelby Swatches - Matte really does it for me with metallic glitters, it tones everything down just a bit :)
@YennySweeps - I do too! I wasn't expecting to like this combo so much.
This is awesome, I love it mattified!
Great idea - sequin rain (depending on the angle) LOVE IT!
Holy cow! *smacks forehead* How did I never connect that you were labmuffin!? This is hilarious--I follow both your other beauty site/instagram stuff, and since I've been coming to this site for years now, I guess I follow you here on this one too! Wowww I need to pay better attention ><
Anyways, this is probably the best use of The Living Daylights that I've seen yet--and now I want to pick it up when it comes out. I've sort of wanted to see it over a deep teal creme base though--maybe over OPI Ski Teal We Drop or something--to set off the teal and salmon colors in the glitter. But that's the only other suggestion that I've got. This is gorgeous!!
That glitter is really neat! Love this manicure-- matte and glossy!
I love that glitter gradient! It looks like you painted polka dots on there!
I love how you've applied the glitter here! Fantastic mani.
I love this combination, especially with the matte topcoat on. And the glitter is just beautiful.
It looks very nice! Especially because you placed the glitters where you wanted and not just how they come off your brush
This is the prettiest use of LD I have seen! Just gorgeous. Any suggestions on easily accessible dupes for your base colour? It's a great colour!
