Barry M Black Multi-Glitter

Even when I bought this, I knew it would disappoint me. I was standing in Boots having an internal monologue about the fact that all that lovely swirly glitter would weld itself like glue to the bottle and not appear on my nail. I knew I wouldn't like it, and yet with a sense of grim inevitability, I bought it anyway. Have you ever found a black polish with holo glitter that didn't look blah on? I have not, and this is probably my third.

I think this was two coats, and it has great coverage. But, as predicted, all that lovely holo micro glitter hides itself away and instead looks like half-arsed silver flecks. It does look a little bit multi-sparkly if you stand in the sun, stick your hand at the right angle and squint. A little.

That said, my vampy loving colleague really liked it, so I snagged her a bottle on my next foray into Boots. Maybe I am immune to its charms, having set myself up for disappointment, and am being too harsh on it? What do you ladies think?

Have you tried Zoya Storm? It's black and the holo is amazing!

Bitter dissapointment on the nail but I wouldn't have been able to talk myself out of it either. I have seen several that didn't disappoint however Gabrielle by Nail Sauce, Zoya Storm, Jade blanking on the name, Glitter Gal makes one too that is amaze-balls! HTHs!

Bummer! But been there done that. I got Nail Pattern Boldness Texas Tea - oh man that's like black sand (i.e. micro particles) filled with holo particles - it's maniacally sparkly ;-)

Been there with a # of black with sparkles that do this. I did not even buy Zoya Storm right off because I thought it would do this or just look like silver yuck in black...I have since bought Storm. I also have a black one from Glitter Gal and one from HITS that their goodies show up - but both are different in that they are that strong beyond micro shimmer holo - not a black cream with stuff in them. I usually put toppers over ones like this or use them for a base for stamping.

One more vote for Zoya Storm. VERY noticeable holo goodness that does not disappoint, even in low light. 2 easy coats and what you see in the bottle is what you get. I think it's due to the unique shape of the holo particles-- they're small shards, I think, instead of just specks.

I've heard about Zoya Storm being fantastic and same goes for the Glitter Gal black holo. I have Cirque Dark Horse and love it, but it's solid glitter. I love wearing it on it's own and I think I had five coats on. I'm sure it would be great with undies as well.
