Quiet Coquette - Essie Limo-scene

Just wanted to share a classic sheer pink with you today - Essie Limo-scene. It strikes a beautiful balance between creamy and sheer, pink and cream - it's also the perfect palette-cleanser to give me a break from all the bright colours I've been wearing this summer!

Not much to say, but this is an easy polish for me to wear - applies nicely, never feels overdone, but also feels a little bit sexy...like wearing delicate lacy underwear that no one knows about but you!

  1. I have this, but I think I got a bad bottle. It's such a classic and everybody seems to love it, but mine is a streaky mess to apply :( I might have to try another bottle. I love Essie, but I think they have the most inconsistent formula and dye lot issues of any salon brand.

  2. Love this shade, but hasn't Essie changed the formula on this one particular polish? I remember it being more of a pinkish opaque color, and now, it's much more sheer, and not as pinkish. Seriously, I've seen some bottles where the polish looks pink, and other bottles where the polish looks white(ish). Has anyone else noticed that about Limo-scene?

  3. Casey, I know exactly what you mean! My sister gave me her bottle of Limo-scene and it's much less pink than the bottles I saw at CVS. It applied terribly too, I just took it off as it looked awful.

  4. I like your explanation of wearing this shade. Very sexy. Also very clean looking. All white cotton undies anyone?

  5. You always look so chic and sophisticated in your Essie sheers... I'm always curious though, how many coats you have to do? You have great taste in color and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
