I've had this polish in my stash for a while, but I've just never reached for it! It's basically the same formula as Essie Mademoiselle - lovely and streak free - but pinker!
Keep in mind though that it is fairly sheer - this was 3 coats. I can see myself wearing this as a base for a delicate sparkly polish. This polish feels sticky sweet and sugary - like pink donut frosting! Mmmm....anyone have a recipe for dairy-free donuts that they are willing to share?

This is so pretty. Classic Essie. I've been hitting my Essie stash up quite a bit since I started work, since they make up the bulk of my nude/neutral drawer in my Helmer, plus they wear so well I can go a week without changing my polish if I need to. I think I'm going to try a "Pretty Edgy" mani next week, though, and see if I get any strange comments - it'd be nice not to have to restrict my fun polishes to the weekends.
ReplyDeleteI haven't worn Mini How High in forever, I'll have to pull her out again!
ReplyDeleteCan you have Soy Milk? Because I'm sure there's a way to replace regular dairy with soy =) As for butter, a common replacement is becoming coconut oil(I'm still playing with the ratio).
But instead of a frosting, a glaze works wonders! One of my favorites is just lemon zest, lemon juice and powdered sugar =)
I will do some digging and see what I can come up with!
This one looks promising!

Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteEssie is the go to brand for pinks and nudes along with a ton of work appropriate shades. So glad now it's at the reach of my wheels with it's transfer into the hand of L'Oreal and into drugstores. Now we can find a decent brand/formula in drugstores other than a hard to find shade range in SH Complete Salon formula.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty color, this is something i'd wear in the spring or to a wedding. Or maybe a christening. I will definitely have to buy a bottle for myself.
ReplyDeleteAhw I ♥ it! It really does look like donut frosting! *Nom nom*
ReplyDeletePretty and sugary sweet shade. Your so right that it looks like frosting! Very nice. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeletetoo shear for me but, but you are right, it is perfect for glitter!
ReplyDeleteThree coats is not too bad for that level of squishy color! How would this pink stand in your hunt for pink?
ReplyDeletei like it! x
