So I've been excited about Nails Night Out NYC for months now. MONTHS. You may have read about it on other nail blogs (it was featured on All Lacquered Up and Scrangie, among others). Finally, tonight was the night. I got up early this morning to have time for homework and working out. Finally, I got on the NJ Transit train to New York Penn Station at 5:58 PM. I figured that was plenty of time to get to NYC around 7ish and then take a cab to the venue. Little did I know that tonight was the night that NJ Transit trains would completely shut down. :( It was a very disappointing, frustrating, sad night for me. I missed Nails Night Out because of a stupid train malfunction. I can't stop blaming myself for not having left earlier, you know? Oh well. :(

I agree with Evil Angel. Disappointment is always a fab excuse to haul. Although I'm probably not the best person to speak to - I'm happy and I'm STILL planning to haul tomorrow.
Sorry you didn't make it. I so wanted to go but had other plans which of course got canceled. Get something special for yourself.

I'd just like to reiterate what the previous posters have said.It's a shame that you didn't get to go *hurrah for public transit* but you do have a great excuse to do some shopping! and your nails look pretty too :)
That f*cking SUCKS! Omg I'm so sorry. I love mass transit mostly but when you really need to get somewhere, you can't count on it.

Girl I was on the 5 o clock NJ transit train!!! I though the same thing...oh I will have plenty of time!!! We got off at Elizabeth (CREEPY) and had to get a cab ride home. I didnt get home til after midnight and came nowhere close to NYC. I cried the next morning!! I am sorry to hear I wasn't the only one who got SCREWED!! :(
