Wet n Wild Craze Cancun and Cozumel

I feel like the summer's practically over... how is it the end of July?

Wet n Wild Craze Cancun
Warm yellow jelly. Pretty easy to apply but took four coats to get close to opaque. I suspect a fifth one would've really done the trick... but I knew I was going to layer this one with its shimmery counterpart that was found in the same display. That and there's really only so long I can handle that stumpy little brush.

Wet n Wild Craze Cozumel

I really love this combination of yellow jelly and shimmering gold. The cool gold shimmer is not even close to ever getting opaque so I'm guessing it was meant to be paired with the opaque jelly in this collection. A couple of extra steps to get the full effect but I think it's an effect worth getting for $4 total. ...though maybe not worth five coats of nail polish.

This summer has flown by, but this color is sooo much fun! Glad to hear it was easy to apply...I don't mind more coats if it means no streaks. That gold shimmer really goes well with the yellow, too! Makes it pop, but it's not too gaudy!

I really like that yellow. I'm generally not a fan of yellows, but I remember walking by that display, seeing that one, and not being able to resist. I actually like it better on its own than with the shimmer, but it's nice to have options.

The shimmer makes this polish so much more interesting to look at :)

LOVE it! This was the one I wanted the most, and I can't find these polishes anywhere! I've looked,and looked, and looked! Ugh.

I love those colors, but that is a lot of coats. Also, are those the really teensy bottles I've seen? I think I passed them by.

@jaljen: I was actually pretty surprised at how nicely the combo turned out. Definitely try them out!

@aurora: I used to be super patient with coats. I still am if a polish applies very thinly and evenly but now, I'm all about polishes that are opaque in three coats or less. I think I've tried too many polishes to be really patient with ones that are more work than they're worth.

@stephanie: I used to hate yellows but now they're my favorite nail polish color. Dunno what changed my mind...

@spaceinvaders: thanks! I think so too. :)

@ali: I've only seen it in one or two drugstores at the beginning of summer. You'd think WnWs would be easier to find, huh? :(

@d'Olivia: Yes, they are pretty damn teensy. Even for $2!

@simple beauty: that it is.

Really lovely, flinty. Yellow always seems like a strange mani colour but I find myself drawn to yellows more than anything else these days.

@zara: they are definitely a nice cheap thrill, even if they are smaller than normal sized nail polishes

@mKat: yellow IS a strange mani color and I don't think it's been really "trendy" (yet?) but I absolutely love it. Partially because it's still so unusual, partially because I think yellows complement my skin pretty well, and partially I use yellows as a litmus test of a brand. Yellows are difficult to "get right" -- if an UNFAMILIAR brand produces a kickass yellow, I'm MUCH more likely to buy from that brand in the future. I feel like a company who does a great yellow is likely to care about testing its products' usability. That being said, I don't stop using a familiar brand because their yellows suck or anything. :)

Very pretty with the gold as a top coat. Terrific idea that I will have to try.
