The Best Medicine - Essie Off the Shoulder

I've been feeling kind of glum lately - I couldn't go to my high school reunion and I'm stuck at home, etc etc. While polish isn't going to turn my spirits completely around, a bright pink polish the colour of Pepto Bismol might be one step in the right direction!

Essie Off the Shoulder...

Bright, shiny, and PINK! It's fun and silly and makes me giggle a bit looking at it. After all, laughter is the best medicine - right?

What polish cheers YOU up??

I really like that! I definitely think a nice bright pink is good for cheering up. Glitter too. Or neons.

That one is just so glossy and perfect!

I am a firm believer in the healing power of silliness too.

For medicinal purposes I like glitters best, the more obnoxious the better. Can't go wrong with a squishy bright jelly though!

I wanted to bring this home with me about 4 times...but I kept thinking I KNOW I have something just like it from OPI and China Glaze...so other than Mojo Madness - I did not pick up any from this collection. Essie Bikini So Teeny is been super popular and sold out everywhere...but I don't think I need yet another powder blue cream since they don't look good on me at all. I tried about 8 of 'em now and they all look horrible and leave my hands lobster red looking. Still...I am loving this pink...so maybe if I find it on sale somewhere (rare to ever see Essie on sale)...I would pick it up. It's a great shade.

My first and foremost pick-me-up -color is most def China Glaze Orange you hot. It's like vitamin C on your nails, bright, shimmery, tangerine gorgeousness. Highly recommended!

... Cracking up that my kindle corrected Chanel to Chandler.

My first choice of color would likely be Chna Glaze Hey Sailor, the color is so bright and easy AND whenever using it I have to think of a longtime disappeared band named Sailor who had some happy and fun songs ;-)

@Elanor - The gloss is from SV! I think it's a pretty perfect bright pink as well :)

@The Driveller Kate - Hi MUS! *waves* (I'm kittyje11 on MUA btw). There is definitely a healing in silliness! I'm usually so shy to wear glitters..except on my toes!

@beachgal - I didn't pick up Bikini So Teeny either. I feel like I should just because it's so popular! LOL! But that's just dumb...

@Emma - I love how you put that... "like Vitamin C on your nails". Perfect!!

@Grace - LOL! Autocorrect can be hilarious.

@Christine - Aww that is a lovely mental connection! I love when a polish or colour has one more layer of meaning to it!

I don't know about 'cheering' me up, but when I have to do something I DON'T WANT to do (anything that involves anesthesia, especially GA), I wear ChG's Stroll with accent nails in CND's Hyde in the Dark on the middle nail of my right hand and the index and pinkie of my left so I can express my opinion clearly if I am left without a voice for a day or two (which is what usually happens when they shove all that s...tuff down my throat). A bit tacky I suppose, but it helps my...attitude.
