This manicure is dedicated to my brand new little god-daughter who was born on August 1! The most beautiful baby I have ever seen - she is absolutely perfect. I wanted to do something very girly in honour of the little one, so I layered OPI You Callin' Me A Lyre? with Essie A Cut Above.
I'm not the biggest glitter fan on the planet but I LOVE this one! For some reason I find the pink colour very appealing. I like that it can be quite subtle over a sheer, and can take on a whole different vibe over a dark colours. A Cut Above is a modern woman - she can go from sweet and demure to tough and chic in a minute!
I hope my god-daughter will love all things girly when she gets older - I'd love to do manis with her!

Congratulations on your god daughter! I don't have this one because I wasn't sure if it was too similar to Traffic Stopper Copper (which I thought seemed a little more rosy than copper), but having seen it in person this is definitely pink, and not at all rose gold. Such a fun girly glitter.
Do you know if these have been made permanent? I've noticed they're still on display at my CVS. I thought they were LE.
Congrats on your god daughter! Such a pretty manicure!
Congratulations on your God-Daughter - sounds like she's going to be spiled rotten! :) Love the girly manicure!
I've been longing the Essie's Luxeffect polishes, I badly want them.
gorgeous combo! congrats
You're making me want this badly. Naughty K2K, naughty, bad! lol. Although I have no problems with wearing glitter (I'm old, I no longer care if anyone likes it but me, lol), I H.A.T.E removal with a passion. A few Ch G's like Ruby Pumps or Dorthy Who are pretty fine and not too, too much of a bear to get off, but ones like Atlantis or Carnival Lights (my fave, a pink with holo), suck so bad, I only use them for an accent nail...or every year or two when I've lost my mind, for a whole mani. But some of the Zoya metallics have fine glitter in them that isn't gaudy and is easily removed. As you further test the crimson waters, you might want to check out Zoya's Delilah. I think it has moved in front of the iconic ChG Ruby Pumps and even Essie's Ruby Slippers to become my favorite, subtle and elegant red glitter. Take a peek next time you're at Zoya.
@Grace - TSC is definitely more copper and this is very pink! If you'd like a pink version, this would be the one! I'm not sure if these are perm or not honestly...
@screamviolence - Thank you!!
@Diane - She will definitely be spoiled rotten! But if she's anything like her parents, she won't be a brat at all :)
@Tintin - I'm not a glitter girl, but Essie's Luxeffects got me too...
@Mel - Thank you!
@Sandi - Gaahhh sorry to Sandi's wallet! Glitter removal can be such a PITA. I usually just soak a cotton pad and let it sit on the nail for a few minutes. (No foil method for me - too tedious.) And Delilah sounds gorgeous....

Love it - it looks like it's in the same family as Butter London Rosie Lee which I love. I'm not usually a pink fan but those champagne tinged glitters are always so pretty!
