Stroke of Brilliance is the latest in Essie's Luxeffects range. It contains the same kind of glitter as A Cut Above and Set in Stones, but is a complex platinum-blue colour. I put it over Essie Over the Top - a deep charcoal - here, and I think they play off one another nicely. This mani just screams "winter" to me - dark and icy!
What mani do you consider to be quintessentially "winter"? I'd love some inspiration!

I understand why you had to buy it immediately. It is gorgeous.
I has seen this one at trade secrets a week or two ago and stopped dead in my tracks! such a pretty glitter, I didn't even know that they released a new set of luxe effects
This is a beautiful combination! I love it.
I am not a big glitter fan but this one got me big time soon as I saw it...I had to look for awhile to find it - finally did. I like wearing it over deep charcoals and also love, love it over Essie Lilacism.
This is gorgeous. I have
Stroke of Brilliance, but haven't used it yet, and now I think I need to.
Love that combo! I've worn it over a muted navy, and loved the tone-on-toneness of it, but I think now I will have to try it over charcoal.
I love these Essie glitters! They are perfectly distributed, and the colors tend toward the less-usual. I've got the silver, rose pink, and now this lovely periwinkle blue. I can't wait to see what they come up with next, maybe a sage green glitter like this. I'd die.
This is gorgeous! And really plays well with over the top. For me the quintessential mani for winter is dark midnight blue. For some stupid reason my brain only knows I can only wear this type of shade in winter. In my head copper and toasted shades are for fall and vampy blues are for winter. :P
Absolutely gorgeous! I have this, and will be wearing it very soon. :D For me, a quintessentially winter-y manicure I did recently was a baby blue creme with CrowsToes Bunny Slope layered overtop. I hope it's okay to link to my blog post- anyways, here it is if you wanted to see pictures: http://lacquertracker.blogspot.ca/2012/10/oh-my-gosh-baby-blue-crowstoes-bunny.html
This is sooo pretty - hmmm wonder how I could miss it - shame on me. For me anything glitzy, shiny, sparkly is wintery. And its easier to list colors I don't wear in winter - that would be yellow, orange, coral ;-)
I just adore that color and look! I must agree it does scream winter but screams sexy too!!! Nice!!!
