Belated Easter Mani: Happy Hands Motherboy jelly sandwich and a return?

Hey guys and gals! so I'm trying something new! I downloaded the blogger app so that I can make posts away from a computer, lol.

So today's post is about my Easter manicure. It is a jelly Sandwich with OPI Don't Touch my Tutu with Happy Hands Motherboy. One coat of the OPI below the glitter and 2 over, to make the pastel glitter a bit more pastel :) It was really delicate and cute. Happy Hands has sadly shut down but a dupe to Motherboy can be found at Rainbow Polish, named Taffy.

Hope there is some interest in this blog still! I'm considering doing a return to blogging giveaway,  comment to let me know if it would be worth doing!  Til next time~

World Autism Day nails: Happy Hands I Just Blue Myself

World Autism Day was yesterday, but I still wanted to share my NOTD -- these were my nails to commemorate :)

I bought this polish a while ago, right when it was being discontinued (sad, right?) because I loved how vibrant it looked. And it's super vibrant. It's blue hexes and squares with a smattering of purple hexes in a blue tinted base. I layered it over a dark blue jelly, although it'd probably have the same effect over black.

This took about 1 regular coat then 2 coats using the dabbing method. I love it, it's super shiny and eye catching.

On the subject of blue, it's bluebonnet season in Texas :) I went last weekend with a couple of friends to try and take some pictures. It was overcast and it's not quite peak in the season yet but I got a couple of good pictures :)

They're so pretty! Especially gorgeous when you see the field as a whole while you're driving down freeways.

Happy Hands: Art is Hard

I love different shaped glitters, and hearts are going to be everywhere once Valentine's polishes are released. This one polish is by Happy Hands and it's a Harlow & Co. exclusive.

It's a mixture of matte red and purple hearts, teal hexes, small purple hexes, translucent blue holo glitters, if that makes sense. It's a cute polish, I love that there are 2 different heart colors in it and that they're both matte. I layered it over a baby blue, Color Club: Take Me To Your Chateau. I wanted each of the colors to be able to stand out, but not layer over black. The glitters laid pretty flat on the nail and only needed about 2 coats of top coat.

The polish is pretty glitter heavy, this is about 1 coat applied and then dabbing on to fill in. Because the polish is so thick (maybe should have thinned it), I wasn't able to get it as sparse, but I like how it looks.

New Years Eve Mani: Happy Glitter Bomb!

I feel New Year's Eve and New Year's is all about the sparkly! I don't usually go out because of midnight service at church, but I still rock the sparkly mani!

I recently acquired Happy Hands: Moosh (which is limited edition), but it's a multi-glitter that builds up pretty opaquely. So I decided to go all out and do lots of layers to cover my whole nail. I've done something similar with OPI: Rainbow Connection but it didn't turn out nearly as well as this manicure.

This is only about 3 coats of Happy Hands: Moosh over a couple of layers of OPI: Don't Touch my Tutu (so it's not on bare nail and gives a base beneath if needed). I also dabbed on 1 coat of Lynnderella: The Glittering Crowd to have it be a bit less pastel, but probably didn't need it.

Sorry for the shrinkage, which will tend to happen with semi-thick manis :( But still awesome! Couldn't capture how sparkly this is!

One can find Happy Hands on her Etsy here and her Facebook here :)

I hope y'all have a happy, safe, and fun New Year's Eve! <3

Happy Hands: What's This

It ends up that a lot of the holiday polishes that I purchased from indies aren't exactly Christmas-y... nary a green and red combo is to be seen in my newly acquired stash. But they're all so pretty either way!

Happy Hands: What's This is one of her holiday collection, and it's a glitter polish made up of sky blue holo square glitter along with smaller silver and light blue glitter, and some white hex glitter. It's amazingly shiny.

I layered it over Color Club: Take me to your Chateau :)

This is actually just 1 coat of What's This -- although I did want a few more white glitters so I fished them out and stuck them on. Sparkly, pretty and wintry! Hard to take a picture of because of the shininess, trust me it's more gorgeous in person :D

You can find Happy Hands polish on her Facebook here and her Etsy here!

Happy Hands: Motherboy

The moment I saw this glitter, I knew I needed it. Okay, that's kind of how it is for a lot of indie glitters, but this one and one other in this same collection, Mayonegg, had my name written all over it.

I love the pastel mix, and despite it looking bumpy, topcoat had it feeling smooth :) It's layered over OPI: My Boyfriend Scales Walls, which I actually wore by itself for a few days, I liked it a lot! Kind of out of place seeing as it's fall with winter coming upon us, but nothing like glitter inspiration to make a mani! I don't usually repeat polishes (I have too many to risk that) but this may see an encore in the spring :)

Happy Hands can be found on her Facebook page here and her Etsy here.
