Chanel Graphake

As you may remember, I have a bit of a 'thing' for Graphite, and was pretty annoyed by the fact that I never bought it. I was so happy when OPI managed to dupe Peridot, but the Graphite-a-like from the Spiderman collection doesn't look all that comparable to me, so I skipped it.

But, I did want to have a go at Frankening something similar. This is what I came up with. It's mostly China Glaze Midnight Kiss and Cheers to You, with some GOSH black passion and China Glaze White Cap. I don't think it's gold and/or flakie enough, but it captures the same vibe.

I wore this to my postgrad ball (which turned out to be a bit of a wet fish, but I enjoyed the opportunity to get my glad rags on) along with my favourite jewellery. Here's a picture of the polish with my bracelet. I was really pleased with the effect.

aaminah's mom - Thank you, I wasn't aware of that! I will check it out and see if I can snag it. Thanks :)

Melissa - Thank you! usually my frankens end up separating and turning into a total mess so this was unusually successful.

Elaine - Thanks! The bracelet I bought in Morocco - I have matching earrings and a pendant, too. I wore a black silk jumpsuit and ruby red shoes, I had planned to wear a vintage red velvet dress but it didn't turn up in time to I resorted to plan b. My friend fixed my hair because I'm hopeless with GHDs :D

What a stunning combination! It is my favorite to have those colors together. I love to wear black or red with marcasite jewelry..esp with garnets. That is what your bracelet reminds me of. And the polish is really nice job! You must have looked fantastic! :-)

I actually swatched Graphite and Number One Nemesis and they are remarkably similar. I adore Graphite as well for the lovely gold sparkle it has, and OPI really did manage to capture that quite well.
