Lippmann Glitter in the Air over Avon White French Tip

It has such promise in the bottle:

I don't know what's worse in the photo: my cuticles or the polish (either of them).

Lippmann Glitter in the Air over Avon White French Tip
First, the white avon: three coats, still not opaque. Grr. Second, GiTA: if I had a LOT of patience and the perfect milky blue, this would be beautiful. As it is... this was a terrible mani.

Today is going to be a "catch-up-on-blog-stuff" day. I'm going to finally have time to respond to comments. Finally going to have time to swatch. Finally going to put the Inque contest results up for a vote (probably to be posted tomorrow). My spring break hasn't technically started but the majority of the work I've had to do for the quarter is complete. It has been a REALLY rough quarter and I'm so grateful that it is nearly over.

(Also: Misa sent me their two spring collections and China Glaze sent me some Crackles... but not the pretty purple or turquoise ones! That's alright though: I went ahead and bought them off of Amazon...)

Flinty! *squishes you* Have you tried this on its own as a multi-coat jelly? How many coats will it take? I'm afraid I won't have enough patience with it, so trying not to buy it.

Happy Spring Break doll!

It does look pretty in the bottle. It actually looks like it could be cute for Easter. It reminds me of confetti eggs!

I'm so excited to start voting!

Since you mentioned a milky blue, I'm wondering how this would look over Rescue Beauty Lounge Bikini Bottom.

It has potential at least. (:

I can't wait to see your swatches and start voting!

I agree with Stephanie. I think by itself or over white or nude, it comes out hella ugly.

HOWEVER, I've seen it over a light pastel blue, like RBL Bikini Bottom or Hard Candy Sky, and it looks absolutely GORGEOUS! It looks like cotton candy and definitely reflects what the bottle looks like :)

Don't dismiss GitA yet!

You're a trooper for even trying. I just don't get the fuss over Lippmann polishes. I have never seen one that looked worth the price and I don't know why people think her polishes are so creative. She makes the same polish over and over again, just with different color combinations - jelly base with sparse small square glitter and large hex glitter - and every review I've seen of them says the same things: they're not opaque and the hex glitter is annoying to place on the nail. I'll take 3 OPI's over one of these polishes any day.

Everything Jamie said.
I'm smitten with a few Lippmanns, but for the most part, I do not get the hype.
This polish is terrible to me, and even over a blue, I still think it's terrible. -___-

So pretty! I love the soft glitters in this milky color. Really perfect for a baby shower!

I guess if I just wanted to sit around and gaze at the bottle I'd be happy. Too expensive to do that. Maybe if this was by WetnWild I'd buy it.

I'd love to get your take on the Misa colors. I don't have any "work safe" colors in my collection, and was looking to add some.

I'd love to see this over sheer-ish white polish (like ChG Frosty or White Qwik Silvr), a not really shiny silver, or a dark purple that has blue & pink shimmer.

I put this on my swap list the day it arrived. It should just come out looking BLUE but instead it looks like phlegm. :( Even *I* could franken something better.

Huuum after reading all the review I'm still not conviced by that one.
