I did this particular manicure for a contest held by cutepolish on YouTube back in December. I'm really happy with how it turned out :)
Polishes used:
China Glaze For Audrey
Elevation Polish Jengish Chokusu
Sephora by OPI Read my Palm
Zoya Wednesday
Pahlish Colder Than a Wave
(the glitter on the ring finger)
As for the giveaway, I think it'll be of polishes I currently own. I haven't picked the polishes yet, but it'll be at least 10-15 polishes and possibly a gift certificate. I'm still figuring out, I'm sure I'll be more inspired in the following days as it is finals time :) At least 1 prize, up towards 3. It may be a long running contest, though, as it may take me a while to decide on which polishes to part with!

Funky green! Essie Pretty Edgy + Salon Perfect Zapped + Pahlish Legra; 1956 + Girly Bits Street Magic
For some odd reason, I wanted a green manicure. With a deeper green. I dug out Essie: Pretty Edgy and actually wore it on its own for a few days. When I saw some tipwear, I decided to add some glitter on top.
I love matte glitters, and got my hands on all of the Salon Perfect matte glitters. I layered Zapped over my nails to create a gradient. It looked really cool, other than the downside that the mani looked thick on a few fingers.
I then received Pahlish: Legra; 1956 in the mail from a little haul and figured it would look cool over the whole mani, and it did. The neon green satin hex glitters and the gold circle glitters added a different dimension.
Then I added another layer of Girly Bits: Street Magic over it just for some additional sparkle.
It ended up being a lot of layers. But I love it :)
It looks pretty radioactive! It's going to be a pain to take off, though...

Pahlish August Duo: Slow like Honey + Heavy With Mood
Hello!!!! I know I've been very remiss in making posts but finals for summer school came around, then a paper due, then I had a long week of moving. After that I was settling into my new place (aka, my parent's place, haha), school started up shortly thereafter. But anyway, I survived my last first week of law school! Yay!!
As a result of moving, I haven't been doing my nails as much. I kind of like settling into a routine for where my manicure stuff is and everything was everywhere and I was too... tired to try to set things up as I like them. Also, my picture taking setup is going to be a bit different and I had to figure that out. But I finally got around to it and now will do manicures on a more regular basis :)
This post is VERY late. It's the August duo from Pahlish, available until August 31. So, my apologies if this is the first you've seen of it.
The duo consists of two polishes, a creme with some hidden-esque shimmer and a glitter topper. I have to say, it's my favorite duo so far from the ones she has released. The nude creme is beautiful and very clean looking on my nails, and the small amount of shimmer adds a little bit of something. The glitter topper is gorgeous, consisting of gold/copper, green and black glitter in varying shapes and sizes.
The color for the creme is more true in the sunlight pics.
The August Pahlish duo is available until August 31!

Pahlish: April Showers Duo :)
Today I have this duo set from Pahlish to show y'all, named the April Showers Duo. It consists of 2 polishes: Through Still and Storm, a creme with shimmer and Ocean Gone Wrong, a glitter topcoat. This duo is a limited edition set that is the first in a series of monthly LE Pahlishes. The color scheme of this duo is right up my alley and I hope my pictures do these polishes justice!
Ocean Gone Wrong consists of a mixture of circle, square, and hex blue glitters with some silver/gunmetal hex glitters and a pink shimmer. I love that this has circle glitters in it! As you can see the coverage is sparse and can't quite reach full opacity, but I think the glitters shine better with one coat.
Through Still and Storm is the creme of this duo set. It's a slate blue color with specks of black with a blue shimmer. This is two coats. The consistency was a little bit odd, but two coats of it evened out beautifully.
They layer together awesomely! Can't quite see the glitter because of the shininess, but I mattified it and you can see it better:
I personally think it's super gorgeous mattified and you can see all the separate glitters. I love the mixture.
And here's a solo finger macro shot of Ocean Gone Wrong over black:
You can definitely see the pink shimmer, along with the actual glitters.
This Pahlish April Showers Duo goes on sale April 12 at 7 PM CST and can be found on her Etsy here. If you'd like more updates about her other releases, follow her on Facebook here :)

Pahlish: Big Red Lobster Man
I don't wear orange too often, but I like it as a color. Orange glitters are rare, too, which is why I felt compelled to purchase this one from Pahlish when I saw it. I layered over Essie: Vermillionaire.
I really like the combination of glitters over the orange. It's copper, orange and hot orange hex glitters with random yellow square glitter and iridescent square glitters. I wore this when it was cooler out, but it definitely brought a summer vibe to my nails!
One can find Pahlish at her Facebook here, her Etsy here and also on Llarowe :)

Pahlish: Lonesome Ocean
I was in the mood for a dark polish, but not black, but not totally dark. In comes Pahlish: Lonesome Ocean.
A dark navy jelly with orange, hot pink, and aqua glitters in varying shapes and sizes. Don't you love this combination?
I layered it over Borghese: Mezzanotte Blue, a dark navy jelly but you can wear it on its own to opacity. The glitter came out evenly and gorgeously :)

St. Patrick's Day! Pahlish: Stroke of Luck + gold flakes
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I haven't posted in a bit -- this past week was my Spring Break and I went to Los Angeles for a few days and I just lazed around after returning (other than taking the GMAT yesterday, yikes). I've been doing NOTDs (which I've been posting on Instagram) but I'll catch up posting here, too :)
Now, I've been lemming gold flake polishes forever (starting with the Rococo original) but couldn't justify the price. Mainstream brands such as Zoya, OPI and Sephora by OPI were nice enough to release their versions of the gold flake polish. I got one from each brand, and they're all pretty different (in size of gold flakes) so I feel it's semi justified. That and I didn't pay full price for any of them (usually 50% off).
I was wondering what to use for a St. Patrick's mani when I thought, green of course! and the bottle of OPI: Man with the Golden Gun that was sitting on my desk caught my eye and the idea was born. Of course, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one with this mani idea and I've seen a few NOTDs already with the same theme but great minds think alike, yes?
I layered all three polishes over Pahlish: Stroke of Luck (which I felt was appropriate also).
In the shade picture, you can see the square glitters in the Pahlish. It also has tiny gold glitter, which is hidden by my use of gold flake topcoats.
The smallest flakes are from Sephora by OPI, and the larger/medium sized ones are from Zoya and OPI.
I don't like shard shaped glitter but I like how the gold looks. Hope everyone has an excellent day!

Merry Christmas! "Tree" Manicure :)
Merry Christmas!
I had no idea what I was going to do as my Christmas manicure, and decided red and green would probably work. I found a green glitter polish, Pahlish: Stroke of Luck but couldn't decide on how to incorporate red somehow. Then I remembered some random NOTDs on MUA that had some tree-like manicures and looked through my recently acquired indie polishes and saw Candy Lacquer: Fruit Squares and did a test layer and it was so cute!
Hopefully it reminds you of a Christmas tree :) with square ornaments, haha
It ended up being a very thick mani, but I like it :)
Merry Christmas again!

Pahlish: Great Wide Open
As y'all know, I love glitter, but I ESPECIALLY love rainbow glitter. Add in white and it's UH-mazing and a must have for me, haha. Today's post focuses on the wonderfulness of Pahlish: Great Wide Open.
It's a glitter topcoat polish that is predominantly white glitter with different shaped rainbow glitter scattered throughout. I put it over Zoya Wednesday (which stains TERRIBLY, by the way!) and I wore it for almost a week, I think. Which is why there's a huuuuge gap. Also, excuse the chip :(
Finals are almost upon me and it's crunch time -- this semester has flown by! I have two back to back finals, which will suck greatly, but I'll fight through them as I always do. I've signed up for next semester's classes and have looked into applying to the MBA program for next year. Life is speeding by! I remember when I was younger, waiting for that day I'd be "grown up" (I'm not even there yet!) and now I'm wishing I were back being a young teenager.
Back on point, Pahlish can be found here on her Facebook page and bought through Llarowe or her Etsy shop. Her polishes are awesome :) check them out if you haven't yet!
